Purpose of speech: To inform
Intended audience: General
Attention Getting Intro: Imagine our world without trees. Imagine our world without the snow children love. Imagine our world without polar bears and other animals that live in the cold. This is the painting that global warming proponents are painting for you. Is this painting true?
Thesis: Global warming has not been proven.
Road map: Today I will discuss and tell you what things have been proven and the things that are a mystery. My three points are, one, the scientific view of global warming, two, the cost benefit view of global warming, and lastly, number three, the biblical view of global warming.
First point: The scientific view of global warming
Supporting evidence:The ozone, CFC’s, Scientists(both global warming proponents and those against global warming.), facts proven and disproven scientifically, news articles, internet links, and books.
Second point: The cost benefit view of global warming.
Supporting evidence:News articles, News channels(listen to politicians for the view and against it), internet links, and books.
Third point: The biblical view of global warming.
Supporting evidence: The Bible, Christian writers books and websites.
Conclusion: In conclusion, I hope I have opened your eyes more, to both sides of this issue. Now it is your turn to make a choice. So is the painting true?
