Hello all, Yesterday we briefly discussed how the philosophy of Ayn Rand supports the negative side of this case. In whole, her philosophy is contrary to a Christian World view. In fact she could be listed as a leading and somewhat militant Atheist who is entirely opposed to Jesus's teachings on humility, sacrifice, and service. Even with this being said some of the phrases that are used in this speech will echo common arguments that could be lifted for the negative stance on this resolution.
If the negative side is proving to be the easier side to argue, perhaps we need to start focusing more time on finding stronger arguments against this philosophy.

As you watch it consider how this philosophy perpetuates secular thinking.
